While Highway 9 West in Estherville, also known as half-mile hill, became open to two-way traffic at the end of last week, workers continue landscaping the right-of-way. Some final utility work is also being conducted. Area residents and visitors should note that there is now a dedicated left turn lane at the corner of the highway and West South First Street (the Woody’s corner) for vehicles approaching the intersection from both east and west.
