Warriors win final game of 2021

LAKE MILLS — The North Union girls had 27 steals in defeating Lake Mills 61-38 on Tuesday, Dec. 21. The defensive attack was led by Naomi Jones who had six thefts while Olivia Von Bank had five and Cassie Beadle and Sam Nielsen each had four.
North Union led the entire night after taking an 18-11 first-quarter lead. The Warriors led 34-22 at halftime, and then limited Lake Mills to just six third-quarter points in building a 51-28 advantage to start the final quarter.
Nielsen led the Warriors with 16 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots. Von Bank finished with 14 points.
North Union (6-2 overall, 3-1 in the Top of Iowa West) hosts Eagle Grove on Jan. 4 to start the New Year.
