Rhonda “Tootie” Renea Marr, daughter of Vincent and Wanda (Hanson) Marr, was born on July 21, 1952 in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away at her daughter’s home in Correctionville, Iowa on August 31, 2026 at the age of 74.

A funeral service for Rhonda was held on Tuesday, at 2 p.m., Sept. 8, 2026 at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville, Iowa. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Following the funeral service, burial took place at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.

Rhonda graduated from Estherville High School in the class of 1970. After high school she moved to Montana for a short time before returning to Iowa. She and her family settled in the Sioux City area, where she worked in the meat packing industry. She started working at Morrell’s, then transitioned to Northwest Iowa Pork and retired from BPI in 2020. In 2006, Rhonda moved to Homer, Nebraska and then in 2023 she moved to Correctionville, Iowa. Rhonda’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She had her own sense of humor that she shared with her family.

She did have a love for the Dallas Cowboys. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling.

Rhonda is survived by her children Leya Lorenzen of Correctionville, Iowa and Eric (Hollie) Waldee of Homer, Nebraska; her brother Terry (Julie) Marr of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her six granddaughters Kayla Lorenzen, Kylee Lorenzen, Aliesha Lorenzen, Ashlee Waldee, Makenzee Waldee, and Lyndsee Waldee; her great-grandson Kayden Leight; her nephew Dan Eades; and her nieces Jennifer Talatzko and Krista Evans.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Randy Marr, Dennis Eades, and Craig Marr.
