Patricia M Prom of New Brighton, MN, formerly of Clear Lake, IA and Estherville, IA passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 13, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1001 9th Ave. South in Clear Lake, IA, with Rev. Josh Link as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church on Friday.
Patricia was born March 26th, 1938 to Everett and Dorthea Etherington at Algona, IA.
On July 7th 1956 she was married to Darold R Boever at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville, IA, where they raised their family until 1989 when they moved to Mason City, IA and then in 2002 in Clear Lake, IA. Her husband Darold passed away November 4th, 2004
In 2007 she was remarried to Gregory Prom at St. Charles of Borromeo in St. Anthony, MN where they lived until Greg’s death in 2022.
Pat and her daughter Sharon then moved to New Brighton, MN, where she was cared for by her family until her death.
Patricia is survived by her children, Paula (Bob) Rienhardt, Waseca, MN. Sharon Nitchals, New Brighton, MN. David Boever, Ames, IA. Ann and Catherine Boever, Columbia Heights, MN, and Christopher Boever of Gainesville, Florida; Greg Proms’ children, James Prom, Mary (Ted) McCrosson, Bob (Ann) Prom, Dan (Jodi) Prom, Paul (Kathleen) Prom and Jack Prom; Grandchildren, Dawn (Scott) Tangen, Darla (Ryan) Goette, Brady Rienhardt and Michael Weber; Great Grandchildren, James Tangen and Phynix Pressley; Sister, Karen Etherington, Spencer, IA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Darold and Gregory; daughter, Julie Boever Geist; sisters, Lucille Luchsinger and Shirley Mills.
Special thanks to James Prom for his visits to pray the rosary with Mom and check on her wellbeing, those were such a highlight for her and we are so thankful for the time you spent with her.
