Leonard Elmer Suess 79, passed away peacefully on Sept. 7, 2026, surrounded by family in Sioux Falls, SD where he currently resided. He was born and raised in Springfield, MN.
He is survived by his partner Beverly Juhl, son Leonard Elmer (Jessica) Suess Jr. Jennifer Anne Suess, Tracy Michelle (Sergio) Esquivel; Beverly’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; his grandchildren from son’s side, Joseph and Oilvia Suess; sisters Marjorie (Don) Williams, Fern Shaw and sisters-in-law Patricia Suess and Maria Jovita Ramirez. Leonard also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that he loved dearly.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Leonard Andrew and Violet (Neal) Suess, His late wife of 45 years Diana Navarro Suess. His brother Frank William Suess and many other relatives who have gone before him.
Celebration of life will be at Hernandez Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapel, Laredo, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 at 8:30-10:30 a.m. follow by 11 a.m. for chapel service and 11:45 a.m. at the burial site.
