SIOUX RAPIDS — The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Volleyball Team won its first match in the past two seasons and first Twin Lakes Conference match in the past three seasons with its 3-1 victory over Sioux Central on Thursday.
Sioux Central took the opening set 25-20, but the Titans won the next three by scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 26-24.
The Titans had 26 kills led by Macy Alderson with nine followed by Ally Hanson with five, Madison Fay with four, Adri Krieger and Kate Sorenson each with three and Myla Murphy with two. Sorenson had 26 set assists.
McKenzie Hoffman led the back-row defense with 18 digs while Macy Alderson had 12, Ally Hanson had 10, and Sorenson had eight. Fay and Sorenson each had five blocks, Murphy had four, and Krieger had three.
Serving, Hanson was 12-of-14 with two aces, Hoffman was 14-of-15 with an ace, Alderson was 12-of-13, and Hanson was 12-of-14 with an ace. Krieger and Fay each had two ace serves.
GT/RA (1-5 overall) hosted its tournament in Graettinger last weekend (Look for results in Thursday’s paper). The Titans go on the road to play West Bend-Mallard today.
