Don E. Bergeson, 89, passed away on October 31, 2023, at home with family by his side. He was born on May 29, 1934, in Estherville, Iowa.
He served in the US Marines and later in law enforcement. He married Karen in 1961. Don enjoyed the outdoors and is survived by his daughter Tammy Walter, son-in-law Forrest Walter, granddaughter Taryn Watts, grandson Zachary Walter, and four siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two of his siblings. Graveside services were held November 6, 2023, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas, at 10:00 am.
