Interment will be held at a later date at Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong. She passed away on January 5, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont, Minn.

Bondalyn Lou “Bonnie” Hansen, was born on July 31, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., to George and Helen (Hisken) Boyer.

Bonnie was raised in Worthington, MN where she attended Worthington High School. She married Ronald Hansen on Oct. 19, 1965, in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple moved to Dolliver, Iowa in 1969.

You could always find her at the fair in July (She worked there for more than 20 years).  She worked several years at the local cafe, where she met a lot of friends. She painted for a while and then got a job at the Dolliver elevator, where she enjoyed visiting with the farmers.

After she retired, she loved her free time for family and friends.  Road trips, coffee, meals out, Sunday dinners with family, card playing and listening to the “Border Town” the family band were a few of her favorite things.

She was surrounded by her family, extended family, and the cats she loved.

Bonnie is survived by her children, David (Michelle St. John) Hansen, Linda Rasmussen, Laurie (Mike) Gage, and Lisa (Lance Keeler) Hansen; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Boyer; sisters-in-law, Donna and Joyce; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald in 1995, parents, George and Helen (Hisken) Boyer, mother and father-in-law, John and Luella Hansen, brothers-in-law, Marvin Hansen and Melvin Haase, and her nephew, Mike Hansen.
