A memorial service for Billy “Bill” Delose Huntley, 74, of rural Dolliver, was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Home in Estherville with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. He passed away on September 5, 2026, at his home in rural Dolliver.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the funeral home.
Billy “Bill” Delose Huntley, the son of Ben and Edith (Laidig) Huntley was born on June 7, 1952, in Estherville, Iowa.
Bill graduated from Lincoln Central High School in 1970. After graduation, he farmed, tending to cattle and the land. Bill and his brother had 220 milking cows and 1000 head of market hogs to tend to at one time. Bill and his brother Frank were the last dairy farmers in Emmet County when they sold their herd in 2001.
He married Diana Lehmann on September 3, 1983, in Ceylon, MN and to this union, three children were born, Megan, Adam and Ben. The couple made their home on a farm in rural Dolliver.
Bill loved to spend time with his family, watch movies, play pool, darts, and go bowling.
He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diana Huntley; children, Megan (Bill) Jensen, Adam (Hunter) Huntley, and Ben Huntley; grandchildren, Lydia Jensen and Harper Huntley; step-grandchildren, Jacob, Jack (Monroe), and Johnny Jensen, and Kayla (Peyton) Smith; his sister, Benadene (Paul) Peters; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline (Rob) Morris, Kim (Roger) Manwarren, and Jan (Bill) Bremer; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Edith (Laidig) Huntley; great-grandson, Bowman Smith; sisters, Joyce Deling and Marilyn Ennis; brother, Frank (Vicky) Huntley; in-laws, Don and Bernice Lehmann; and brother-in-law, Thomas Lehmann.
