TRIMONT, Minn. — A celebration of life for Beverly Jo Behr (Bergeson) of Trimont, Minn., will be from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, Minn. Bev was called home on Tuesday afternoon Nov. 21, 2023, in Sioux Falls, S.D..

Beverly Jo Bergeson was born on May 2, 1951 to Russell S.R. and Elma (Davis) Bergeson in Estherville, Iowa. Bev was raised with six sisters and brothers, Pat Harold (Ed), Rose Bass, Larry Bergeson (Franny), Russell Bergeson Jr. (Mary Kay), Sandra Triggs (Mark), Cheryl Bush (Jim). In her younger years Bev married David Dalen June 3, 1967, and was blessed with four children. Mary Jo Burrell (Tim), Kelly Woizeschke (Stewart), Jeffrey Dalen, Cynthia Wallace (Michael). Family resided in Heron Lake, MN where Bev was employed with Campbells Soup company until they closed. Later the family moved to Windom, MN where Bev took on new employment at Sperry Univac out of Jackson, MN.

Bev remarried Feb 14th, 1986, to Jeff Behr and moved to Jackson, MN. Later, she moved to Trimont and had two additional daughters Renee Oechsle and Jessica Behr. Bev changed careers and worked at Walmart in Fairmont, MN where she eventually retired from. After retirement Bev and Jeff moved to Lehr, ND.

Some of Bev’s favorite past times included reading her Harlequin Romance Novels, camping and renovating her Lehr, ND home. She also enjoyed traveling. Her favorite spots were Colorado and Las Vegas where she could enjoy a little gambling. She also enjoyed attending her grandson’s sporting events whenever she made it back home.

Bev is survived by husband Jeff Behr, mother-in-law Sonna Behr, children: Mary Jo Burrell, Kelly Woizeschke, Jeff Dalen, Adam Behr, Renee Oechsle, Jessica Behr; sisters: Rose Bass, Sandy Triggs and Cheryl Bush; grandchildren: Ashley Woizeschke, Mathew Burrell (Casey), Kayla, Emily and Grace Dalen, Rachel and Derek Wallace (Caitlyn), Allison Miller (Zack), Dominic Knudtson (Haley), Brice and Braden Oechsle, Michael Behr-Ykema, as well as several great grandchildren and in-laws.

Bev was preceded in death by parents: Russell Sr. and Elma Bergeson, daughter Cynthia Wallace, father-in-law Lyland Behr, brothers Larry and Russel Jr. Bergeson, sister Pat Herald, brother-in-law Mark Triggs.
