A memorial service for Mike Miller, 58, of Kaufman, Texas, formerly of Estherville, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. He departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at his home.
Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday at the funeral chapel in Estherville.
Michael Dean Miller, the son of Earl (Butch) and Stella (Locey) Miller was born on May 25, 1961 in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
He received his education in the Estherville Schools, graduating from Estherville High School in 1979. After completing his high school, Mike attended the Missouri Institute of Technology (MIT) in Kansas City, MO. After graduation he relocated to Kaufman, TX.
As a senior programmer analyst, he worked at Trinity Industries and EDS in Dallas, TX. Years later he was able to become self employed in fine carpentry, that was his true passion. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, hunting and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Jillian Webb and her husband Casey of Kaufman, TX, her sons Brayden and Braxton Johnson, Casen Webb, and daughters Maycee and Laynee Webb; his mother Stella Miller of Estherville, his brother Steve Miller and his wife Julie of Estherville, their daughter Kathi Latimer and her husband Brady of Pocahontas, and son Kevin Miller and grandson Tristin all of Estherville, his sister Sara Bendixen and her husband Jason and her sons Justin and Zach Montandon, and her grandson Jase all of Estherville; and also, two aunts and many cousins.
Proceeding Mike in death were his father Earl (Butch) Miller, maternal grandmother Geneva Locey, paternal grandmother Winnifred Snider.
