Laker women cruise past Northeast

The Iowa Lakes women got back on track with a 73-50 win over Northeast Community College on Tuesday.
The Lakers led from start to finish with a 19-10 lead after one quarter and 35-17 at halftime.
Jaeda Whitner and Rachel Puok led a balanced attack with 15 points apiece. Whitner had four of the team’s 11 assists and Puok had 14 of the team’s 35 rebounds.
Also, Rachel Breck finished with 13 points, making 6-of-7 shots from the field.
Iowa Lakes (12-6 overall, 7-2 in conference play) is on the road against Iowa Western today. The Lakers are home next Monday against Iowa Western in a quick turnaround. The Lakers then host Ellsworth next Wednesday.
