A memorial service for Diane M. Tromblay, 76, of Wallingford, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Wallingford Lutheran Church, Wallingford, with Pastor Jon Wolf officiating. Interment will be at Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery, Wallingford. She passed away on Sept. 17, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sept. 20, 2021, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
Diane Marie Tromblay, daughter of Dale and Dolores Young, was born on January 22, 1945, in Estherville, Iowa.
Diane graduated from Lincoln Central High School and attended accounting school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She worked in the banking and insurance industries before devoting her time to raising her children in Wallingford, Iowa, with her husband, Alfred Tromblay. The two were married on March 23, 1968, at Wallingford Lutheran Church in Wallingford, IA, of which she was a lifelong member.
In her free time, Diane enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, shopping, and morning coffees with cousins and friends. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Diane is survived by her husband, Alfred Tromblay of Estherville, Iowa; her children, Darren (Pam) Tromblay; Adam (Chrissy) Tromblay; and Andrea (Spencer) Love; grandchildren, Dustin Tromblay, Elise Tromblay, Grant Love, Gracen Love, Tate Tromblay, Dakota Tromblay and Myles Tromblay; siblings David Young and Doug Young; and sisters-in-law Peggy Young, and Pat Young; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Young; mother, Dolores Young; and infant sister, Deborah.
