Several events are happening Saturday, June 5, 2021 to Kick Cancer to the Curb, and to celebrate the Estherville VFW’s 100th Anniversary.
The day kicks off with Bike for a Cure, a 26 or 12 mile bicycle ride beginning at 8 a.m., Sanborn Shelter, Thoreson Park. The main Saturday event begins in Library Square at 10 a.m., with music. At 10:30 a.m., the luminary ceremony and honor of this year’s survivors begins. Luminaria will be set up for purchase from 11 a.m., to 3 p.m. They will be displayed through the day, but not lit.
A to-go meal will be served from 11 a.m., to 1:30 p.m., and dancers from two dance schools will perform from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m.: Dancetastic from 11-12 and LLD from 12-1. The auction will begin at 1 p.m.
The VFW Cruise-In will begin at 1 p.m.
