The Many Voices Choir performed its Christmas concert for the third time Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. Tim Schumacher is director of the choir. Jennifer Johnson is accompanist. The choir's holiday tour included Bancroft, Jackson, MN, and Spirit Lake in addition to Estherville. The title of the concert was "Salvation is Created," and director Schumacher invited the audience to hold its applause until each of three sections was completed.

Joan Gronstal of Spirit Lake performed a flute solo on "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." Jennifer Johnson, the accompanist, also picked up some auxiliary percussion on a couple of pieces. Less known tunes interspersed with familiar favorites. "The First Noel" mixed with Pachelbel's "Canon," while "A Rhapsody of Christmas" featured a medley of tunes. Schumacher invited the audience to join the choir in the final verse of "Joy to the World" to conclude the concert.

Rehearsals for the spring concert will begin in February. All area singers are invited to join.
