Leland was a farmer his whole life but worked at Art's Way & John Morrell in his younger days. He enjoyed his career as an Insurance Agent but especially enjoyed being an owner and driver of a trucking company. He was committed in his life to helping others and teaching his kids as much as he could. Leland always made people feel liked and was friendly even if he had just met them. He truly never met a stranger, with his unique sense of humor, he conversed with people wherever he went. Leland was kind, understanding optimistic and patient. There were very few things he could not fix, and he could always come up with a solution to your problem if you asked him. His joy was making someone else smile or laugh, and it was not often he didn't have a genuine smile for you.

He was a member of the Harbor of Joy Church, Milford, Iowa, and an Associate Member of the American Lutheran Church, Sun City, Ariz. His hobbies included, wood turning, golf, hunting, playing cards & whatever Ruby loved.

In death he rejoins his parents and granddaughter, Amanda Allen.

Left to cherish Leland's memory are his wife Ruby, children, Robbyn Allen, Richelle (Mark) Bisenius, Richard (Brenda) Harris, Ryan (Amber) Harris; grandchildren, Matthew (Brittany) Allen, Amber (Joshua) Jones, Tyler Bisenius, Leah (Bradley) Corr II, Tate Bisenius, Evan Bisenius and Weston, Hunter, Dylan, Macy, Boston, Grace and Kynlee Harris; great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Hensleigh and Haizleigh Allen along with Gage, Max and Finley Jones.
